Who we are

This website, thedramatherapydream.com, is a personal archive of the life, work and legacy of Dr Sue Jennings.

Dr Sue Jennings is the data controller for this site. That means she is responsible for how any personal information connected with this website is handled.

What this policy covers

This policy explains what happens to personal information when you visit this website. It is written to meet the requirements of the UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations.

In short: this is a small archive site. There are no contact forms, no mailing list, no account sign-ups and nothing for sale. The only information involved is the small amount your browser sends automatically when it loads any web page, plus anything you choose to put in an email to us.

This website is built and hosted on Squarespace. When you load a page, Squarespace records technical information on our behalf, including:

This happens on every website you visit and is a normal part of how the internet works. It is used to serve the site securely, to keep it working, and to protect it against abuse. We do not use it to identify you, and we do not build any profile of you.

Information you give us directly

If you email us, we will hold your email address and whatever you write, for as long as it takes to deal with your message and for a reasonable period afterwards. We will not add you to any list or use your address for anything you did not ask for.

This site uses only strictly necessary cookies — the ones required to deliver the site securely and to keep it functioning. Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations these do not require your consent, which is why you will not see a cookie banner here.

Information is handled by Squarespace, who host this website and act as our service provider. Squarespace is based in the United States, so this involves transferring information outside the UK. We may disclose information if we are legally required to do so.

How long it is kept

Server and security logs are held by Squarespace for a limited period under their own retention schedule. Emails you send us are kept for as long as needed to deal with your message, and are deleted when they are no longer relevant.

This site links out to other websites and may display images or material hosted elsewhere. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and we would encourage you to read their own policies.

Children

This website is not directed at children. It is an archive intended for therapists, teachers, students, colleagues and anyone interested in Dr Jennings' work. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

- ask what personal information we hold about you, and get a copy of it

- ask us to correct anything inaccurate

- ask us to delete it

- ask us to restrict how we use it

- object to our use of it

- ask for it in a portable format

- withdraw consent, where we relied on consent
